Welcome to the SD–BGT Laboratory website! We are an interdisciplinary biomedical research laboratory based in the Departments of Biophysics and Medical Biology at Yeditepe University School of Medicine. Led by Professor Soner Doğan and Professor Bilge Güvenç Tuna, our lab studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms involved in ageing, cancer, and human disease.

Our research brings together areas ranging from vascular ageing and calorie restriction to aptamers, biosensors, and targeted drug delivery. By investigating how these biological processes change in health and disease, we aim to better understand disease mechanisms and contribute to the development of new approaches for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
